Job description: The YMCA is seeking Youth Basketball Clinic Coaches for Lafayette based programs. This position is part time. Games are scheduled Friday nights 4:30 to 9:15PM and Saturdays 8:30AM-4PM. You do not need to be available for all time slots to apply. Program runs October 28-December 9, with no sessions over week of November 20th.

Our Youth Sports Clinic Coaches will teach introductory through intermediate skills, rules of play and the Y Way to Play using your own and provided lesson plans. You'll also assist in officiating, parent interaction and ensuring clinics run smoothly and safely with all activities starting and ending on schedule. Throughout the year we hire basketball, soccer, football, baseball, volleyball and lacrosse officials and instructors in Boulder, Johnstown, Lafayette, Loveland and Longmont; if this season isn't a match, please check our website.

Qualifications:
  • Age 16 years or older
  • Significant involvement and understanding of the sport.
  • CPR/First Aid/AED certification within 30 days. We can help with this.
  • Ability to organize and engage groups of children.
  • Know how to break down a skill and explain it so that participants can understand and perform the skill.
  • Ability to communicate and work with a variety of people including kids, staff, other host staff, and community members.
Salary range is $15-$18/hour based on experience, availability and certifications. In addition, we offer a +10% differential for bilingual staff who test as fluent in Spanish and English.
